I have been making pots since I was 10 years old. It was always something that gave me great satisfaction, seeing the beautiful pots I created out of shapeless lumps of clay. My initial career path was in a more corporate world, but I kept my pottery dream alive, continuing to develop my skills and own potter's style by going to evening classes to continue my training. In 2015 I discovered North Street Potters close to where I lived and was vey happy to be able to work there part-time whilst continuing in my other role.
In 2016 I decided to take the plunge and leave the stressful Director role behind to become a full-time professional potter. I haven't looked back since.
Primarily I work with stoneware clay to create tableware, some examples of which you can see here. I love large sculptural bottles which I have been making since 2006. My work encompasses various techniques, and I fire in both oxidation and reduction kiln atmospheres.
You can find me at North Street Potters, in Clapham Common. Shop open Tuesday to Saturday.
